keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma
nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma
undifferentiated carcinoma
M/E large epithelial cells having indistinct cell borders ("syncytial" growth) and prominent eosinophilic nucleoli
in infectious mononucleosis, atypical lymphocytosis, seen in the peripheral blood, and enlarged lymph nodes are present- lymphocytes may invade the tumor too.
They tend to be radiosensitive
Nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is an important cause of epistaxis in the adolescent male- the tumor is testosterone dependent.
